Because your body thinks the implant is a real tooth, they will help preserve the bone in that area. They will also help keep your neighboring teeth healthier and from shifting into the empty space. I went in to See Dr. Breziner for a crown replacement. His work was completely painless, fast and high quality. I highly recommend La Jolla Family Smile, including the staff, for their professionalism and quality service.

He scheduled me in for the very next day and moved his schedule around so he could see me. I had called around to other dentists and nobody was willing to see me in such short notice. During the visit, Dr. Breziner noticed I had a couple other issues with my teeth. One tooth needed a crown, the other had a huge cavity, and another had cracked enamel. I am one of those super anxious people when it comes to the dentist but Dr. Breziner is very skilled and amazing at explaining each step of the procedure.

I have had a variety of procedures that include teeth cleaning, veneers, crowns, invisalign and my most recent recommendation, a snore guard. I always feel that I'm treated with great care and concern and I have never felt that something was being recommended to me that wasn't in my best interest. I have referred several people to their offices over the years and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a dental provider. My family has been going to Dr. Breziner for about 10 years on the recommendation of a friend.
Gently pressure may be applied to your face and jaw to locate tender areas. You may also be required to open and close your mouth so that our doctors can observe specific symptoms, such as popping noises, as well as the range of motion in your jaw. If you are affected by these symptoms, we encourage you to schedule an evaluation with our team.
These trends offer a refreshing blend of contemporary and classic, perfect for a standout yet adaptable look. Short messy hairstyles are easy to pull off and can be very versatile, making them a good choice for men who work in a variety of sectors and hold various jobs. Short, messy styles can be paired with other styles, such as fades and beards. These styles can be worn wavy, curly, or straight and can be cut very short or a little longer so that hair falls onto the forehead.
Side to Back Shaved Line
Also, you can create some bangs at the front so your curls fall nicely at the sides. Get freestyle feed in braids with a sew-in for the best of both worlds. Then pick your favorite weave – straight, curly, whatever you want – and sew it in a U shape to avoid weave tracks showing under the braids. Finish it off with some curly pieces up front if you want to frame your face. This combo style lets you change it up and get different looks in one install. Get the length and flow of a weave with the edginess of freestyle braids.
Longer Natural Flow Hairstyle & Short Sides
Elaborate freestyle shaved lines on the back and the side of the head turn this hairstyle into a piece of art. Chunky braids and twists add to the look and make it an utter head turner. The combination of the curly, textured top and very short hair on the sides gives contrast to this haircut. Asymmetric, yet perfectly balanced, the V shape design looks both modern and classy.

The Z line design works well with a skin fade by sharply separating the top from the back and sides with a flowing, stylish line. Adding shaved lines from back to front gives this short afro a fullness that connects and pulls the entire look together. Three shaved lines in the back can create the illusion that there’s more to you than just a fresh cut. A detailed hair rose design can be a trendy and realistic choice that will take your haircut to a new level. This 3D flower design is not for the faint of heart or the newly graduated barber.
You can incorporate different designs while still keeping the neatness of stitch braids. To achieve maximum neatness and precise parting, you may need to mold with some braiding gel. It can also be helpful to pre-part, so the stitch lines are straight. Freestyle stitch braids can be made into different styles like all back, braided updos, and more. There’s such an amazing variety of hair designs to choose from, that it’s easy to get lost. Don’t limit yourself to one if you can have as many as your barber can fit in.
Men’s Short Haircuts
It’s one of the most comfortable men’s haircuts out there, and with careful styling with some hair paste, it can go from messy to sleek. Executing a flawless burst fade design freestyle starts by gathering the right tools. The burst fade is not just a haircut, in the sphere of freestyle art, it is a form of expression. It can serve as a statement of individual uniqueness, a canvas upon which one’s identity can be etched. It further explores the dynamic application of burst fades in freestyle designs, uncovering the vast potential of expressing personality and style.

Stasha is known for her signature sculpting artistry, where her skillfulness in parting takes on an artform. To determine which cut will look good on you, you need to figure out which face shape you have and then search for flattering styles on that shape.
Use a nutrient-rich hair oil on your scalp once or twice a week to nourish the hair and keep the scalp healthy. Regular use of a clarifying shampoo is strongly recommended to remove any product buildup. Thanks to its remarkable adaptability, the burst fade is seen sported by individuals with a wide array of hair types, lengths, and structures. On straight hair, it injects a unique twist, accentuating texture and depth.
Burst Fade Mullet: 50+ Stylish Haircut Ideas for a Modern Twist
Freestyle ponytail braids involve making different patterned cornrows that meet at one point on the head. To simplify the process, divide the hair into four sections and braid one section at a time in a freestyle pattern. Tribal braids involve making straight cornrows at the top section of the hair and individual braids at the back section.
Straight lines on the sides emphasize the contrast between the messy curls at the top and the short, faded sides. This combination is a great choice for those willing to accentuate their features. Even the tiniest detail matters when it comes to polishing your style. The subtle but noticeable beard fade, mirroring the silhouette of the haircut makes an utterly powerful look.
The cross hair design is a bold and meaningful look that can add a cool, subtle style to your cut. You’ll need to have some faith to pull off this beautiful Christian symbol. A cool curve hair design will add leaps and bounds to your hairstyle and will have all your friends asking how they can copy your look. The shadow design is a cool and striking look that can be challenging for any random barber, but once you find a skilled professional, he’ll be able to do you up right. This look takes the back and sides and fades it horizontally across the head instead of vertically.

As code is usually full of various abbreviations and technical jargon, semantic searches can be more effective in finding relevant code snippets without correctly spelling the key variable, function, or module names. While similar to semantic search in many existing search engines, semantic code search is able to help find abbreviated and highly technical code with vague concepts. EDA tool development is such a niche field, and Chinese companies have traditionally struggled to attract many of the small numbers of engineers trained in making EDA tools. However, blocking the export of software is very different from blocking the export of bulky hardware like lithography machines, which are impossible to smuggle into China because they are so traceable.

A particular example is code duplication, where the same function is implemented multiple times across a project or the entire code base. Some copies can have a particular bug fixed in a relatively short period, while the same bug goes unnoticed in other copies. ML has been applied in pattern discovery and anomaly detection across many domains where temporal data of a complex system are available.
Can Chiplets Solve Semiconductor Challenges? - Electronic Design
The Asia Pacific (APAC) region holds the leading position in the EDA market, primarily due to the concentration of semiconductor industries in countries like China, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. Rising demand for electronics and significant investments in semiconductor chip design contribute to the dominance of this region. Bug analysis aims to identify potential bugs, localize the code blocks containing them, and give fix suggestions. Recent surveys found that verification of an IC spends roughly the same amount of time as it does in design and that functional bugs contribute to about 50% of respins for an ASIC design. Therefore, it is critically important that these bugs can be identified and fixed in the early functional verification stage. ML has been employed to help developers detect bugs in designs and find bugs faster.

It is crucial to know they'll function as intended, especially since most chip code cannot be "patched." Instead, teams must respond to errors by revising completely. A recent Business Wire report anticipated that as the semiconductor industry grows more competitive and as new chip technology emerges, the market for EDA tools will skyrocket. The Solido variation-aware design, IP validation and library characterization solutions, powered by proprietary AI and machine learning technologies, are used by 1000s of designers at the top semiconductor companies worldwide. Calibre Design Solutions is the industry leader for IC sign-off, delivering a complete IC verification and DFM optimization EDA platform that speeds designs from creation to manufacturing, addressing all sign-off requirements.
There is simply no way to manage this level of complexity without sophisticated automation, and EDA provides this critical technology. Without it, it would be impossible to design and manufacture today’s semiconductor devices. Synopsys is a leading provider of high-quality, silicon-proven semiconductor IP solutions for SoC designs.

In the 1980s and early 1990s, EDA 2.0 emerged as a result of the development of efficient place-and-route algorithms. This period, also known as the RTL era, witnessed a transition from gate-level design to higher-level abstractions, with RTL design enabling circuit descriptions at the register-transfer level, thereby improving simulation performance. This period witnessed a significant milestone with the introduction of logic synthesis. The Universal Approximation Theorem proves that a multi-layer perceptron (MLP), a feed-forward ANN with at least one hidden layer, can approximate any continuous function with arbitrary accuracy. Whereas normalized recurrent neural networks (RNNs), a specialized form of ANN, are proven to approximate any dynamic system with memory. Advanced ML accelerator hardware has made it possible that ANNs can model the behaviors of some IC design modules to accelerate their simulations. Significant acceleration may be achieved depending on the capability of AI accelerators and the complexity of the ML models.
Until recently, it was hard to apply ML to graph data due to the complexity of their structure. Graph neural network (GNN) advances have promised a new opportunity for functional verification. One such approach converts a design into a code/data flow graph, which is then further used to train a GNN to help predict the coverage closure of a test. This kind of white box approach promises previously unavailable insight into the control and data flow in a design, which can generate directed tests to fill potential coverage holes. Graphs can represent rich relational, structural, and semantic information encountered in verification. The rich information from training an ML model on graphs can afford many new possible functional verification tasks, e.g., bug hunting and coverage closure.

Simple code completion is a standard feature in the modern Integrated Development Environment (IDE). However, more advanced techniques involving deep learning were proposed and are maturing quickly. It is now possible to train ANNs with billions of parameters from many large-scale open-source code repositories to give reasonable recommendations of code snippets from developers’ implementation intent or the context. Classic code smell detection relies on defined heuristic rules to identify patterns in the source code. Instead of manually developing these rules and metrics in the static code analysis tools, an ML-based approach can be trained on a large amount of available source code to identify code smells.
Questa's best-in-class technologies maximize the effectiveness of verification at the IC block, subsystem, and system levels. After the chip is manufactured, there is a growing requirement to monitor the performance of the device from post-manufacturing test to deployment in the field. The goal of this monitoring is to ensure the device continues to perform as expected throughout its lifetime and to ensure the device is not tampered with. For many years, the larger electronic companies, such as Hewlett-Packard, Tektronix and Intel, had pursued EDA internally, with managers and developers beginning to spin out of these companies to concentrate on EDA as a business. Daisy Systems, Mentor Graphics and Valid Logic Systems were all founded around this time and collectively referred to as DMV. Department of Defense additionally began funding of VHDL as a hardware description language.
If a very large amount of input data must be processed, hardware approaches such as emulation or rapid prototyping are used. These situations occur when a processor’s operating system must be run against real-world scenarios, such as video processing. Without a hardware-assisted approach, the runtime for these cases can be untenable. Alan is a highly accomplished executive with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry.

While Weird Barbie's house may lack a few necessities, I'd put my Monopoly money down on it. The wacky home is a color-loving minimalist and extroverted introvert’s paradise with unbeatable views and matching transportation.

Many of the props on set were also painted by hand, from the trees to the pool that sits outside of Barbie’s Dream House and contains no water. “I remember even the bark of the palm trees had different shades of brown, green, and even pink,” says McKnight. Skipper’s house is the only one on the block that’s purple instead of pink.

On the second floor, Barbie’s walk-in closet features toy-box display cases pinned with outfits. The home has more than an acre of greenspace and also features a guest house with a private drive, the Sun reported. “This piece of legislation is not about adding red tape or about the government picking winners and losers. The WOSB Integrity Act will simply ensure that competition for government contracting opportunities includes women small business owners and is fair. These entrepreneurs drive our economy forward, and when we support them, innovation thrives and the country prospers,” said Rep. Maloy. “Dreamhouses assume that you never have anything you wish was private—there is no place to hide.” That layered domestic metaphor has proved rich fodder for the filmmaker, whose live-action homage to the iconic Mattel doll hits theaters July 21. The WOSB federal contracting program has become susceptible to abuse and fraud due to a self-certification loophole. Since women- owned small businesses do not have to verify that they are both women-owned and small, large companies are able to self-certify as small businesses to take advantage of the program. Additionally, the federal government has a goal of awarding 5% of federal contracting dollars to women-owned small businesses each year. However, it has only met that goal twice since it was established over 20 years ago.
The Academy Museum and the UCLA Film and Television Archive are co-presenting a weekend-long program devoted to the work of Canadian filmmaker Patricia Rozema. Via email, Glazer said he cast Kidman knowing she had worked with directors such as Lars von Trier and Stanley Kubrick and that despite being a huge star, there was an edge to her work. Since 2019, the singer has put out two albums, written and performed songs for “No Time to Die” and “Barbie” (winning Oscars for both), headlined at Coachella and picked up more than a few Grammys. After the lengthy and very pink “Barbie” promotional tour, she said she was relieved to catch a break.
This bipartisan bill is designed to ensure federal contracting dollars intended for women-owned small businesses (WOSBs) are awarded to those firms that meet the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) small business size standards. To make their Barbieland sets a reality, the movie’s production team embraced the surreal, going big on bright pinks and shrunken proportions. Margot Robbie has some tiny, plastic shoes to fill, but with director Greta Gerwig paving her dream-house driveway, Barbie seems less likely to stumble in those stilettos. Variety confirmed on July 9, 2021 that Little Women director Gerwig will helm the live-action Barbie film, with Robbie attached as Mattel's size-zero superstar. Under Gerwig's stewardship, the blonde icon who's juggled careers as a president, doctor, teacher, fashion designer, and Olympic athlete will be forced to confront her feminist critics.
Placing the houses in a circle allowed for this and ensured Barbie could see all of her friends. Marked by a funky gated entrance, the home undoubtedly offers the most privacy in Barbie Land. The journey to the secluded structure is daily step count goal-friendly and allows visitors time to admire the surrounding landscaping. Tall trees hide the sides and back of the house while giving the home an immersed-in-nature feel. The abode is open at the front in typical Barbie doll house fashion, meaning it has completely unobstructed views of everything from the pink sand Malibu beach to the Barbie dream houses inspired by iconic Palm Springs architecture below.
The structure was also influenced by Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film Psycho with its hilltop location and winding stair-clad path. Swirls of color, groovy lights, and interior screen block walls ensure the home retains a lively atmosphere rather than a sinister one. The real-life Barbie DreamHouse is reopening its doors in Malibu soon — but this time, the three-story Airbnb promises big Kenergy.
Up for grabs are two free one-night stays for up to two people each night on July 21 and 22. By now, you know that Barbie leaves her picture-perfect world for the real world. In the first look photos, Robbie and Gosling were seen roller skating down the boardwalk in Venice Beach. Will Ferrell was also spotted at the location wearing skates. Prepare for an explosion of pink and a reality check in Los Angeles.
Aside from its optimal location, HGTV reps said they chose this home out of the hundreds of other potential homes for a few reasons. The features that led them to choose this house include its two-story layout, the existing backyard pool, views of the surrounding area and a space that could easily be converted into Ken's Den. Just one month before the theatrical release of Greta Gerwig's live-action Barbie movie, Margot Robbie gave a full tour of the Dreamhouse. In an Architectural Digest video shared on June 16, the actor offered an inside look at the life-size dollhouse constructed with playtime in mind. With not a single right angle built into the architecture, Weird Barbie’s house is designed to look a bit squashed. Its aura is reminiscent of Boo Radley’s house in To Kill a Mockingbird; You don’t want to go near it, but you’re still curious about it, Greenwood says.
Studios lot outside of London, the Barbie dream houses were inspired by the midcentury modern architecture and cul-de-sacs in Palm Springs. Greenwood and set decorator Katie Spencer specifically looked to Richard Neutra’s 1946 Kaufmann House, which happens to be one of the filming locations featured in Don’t Worry Darling. They landed on this design route early on in the process since they knew they weren't looking to replicate an existing Mattel Barbie dream house. The midcentury modern architecture lent itself nicely to the basic elements of the toy houses that the team focused on, like an open flow between rooms with no walls. Logistically, it was also important for the production to easily shoot from one house to another.

The second question above allows the instructor to focus on more important knowledge, the knowledge and skills that are important to know and do. Finally, with the third question, instructors begin to detail the enduring understandings, overarching learning goals, and big ideas that students should retain. By answering the three questions presented at this stage, instructors will be able to determine the best content for the course.
Wiggins and McTighe provide an expanded array of practical tools and strategies for designing curriculum, instruction, and assessments that lead students at all grade levels to genuine understanding. The incorporation of backward design also lends itself to transparent and explicit instruction. If the teacher has explicitly defined the learning goals of the course, then they have a better idea of what they want the students to get out of learning activities. Furthermore, if done thoroughly, it eliminates the possibility of doing certain activities and tasks for the sake of doing them.
Stage Two – Determine Acceptable Evidence:
We empower educators to reimagine and redesign learning through impactful pedagogy and meaningful technology use. We achieve this by offering transformative professional learning, fostering vibrant communities, and ensuring that digital tools and experiences are accessible and effective. Wiggins, a nationally recognized assessment expert, worked on some of the most influential reform initiatives in the country, including Vermont's portfolio system and Ted Sizer's Coalition of Essential Schools. He consulted with schools, districts, and state education departments on a variety of reform matters, organized conferences and workshops, standards clarification, and developed print materials and web resources on curricular change. This teaching guide will explain the benefits of incorporating backward design. Finally, an overview of a backward design template is provided with links to blank template pages for convenience.

At this stage it is important to consider a wide range of assessment methods in order to ensure that students are being assess over the goals the instructor wants students to attain. Sometimes, the assessments do not match the learning goals, and it becomes a frustrating experience for students and instructors. Use the list below to help brainstorm assessment methods for the learning goals of the course.
Understanding by Design, Expanded 2nd Edition
Every task and piece of instruction has a purpose that fits in with the overarching goals and goals of the course. As previously stated, backward design is beneficial to instructors because it innately encourages intentionality during the design process. It continually encourages the instructor to establish the purpose of doing something before implementing it into the curriculum. Therefore, backward design is an effective way of providing guidance for instruction and designing lessons, units, and courses. Once the learning goals, or desired results, have been identified, instructors will have an easier time developing assessments and instruction around grounded learning outcomes. Well known for his work with thinking skills, McTighe has coordinated statewide efforts to develop instructional strategies, curriculum models, and assessment procedures for improving the quality of student thinking.
Information that fits within this question is the lowest priority content information that will be mentioned in the lesson, unit, or course. “Last year, I was starved for bass players,” says Bill Yeager, director of jazz studies at San Diego State University. Hofmann wittily turns the tables on usual roles with her version of the Gershwins’ “Embraceable You,” giving Magnusson’s bass the lead melodic role at first while she plays backup counterpoint, then switching into an improv mode while Magnusson thrums along underneath her flute. “It’s some great playing, she’s a wonderful player, just some good jazz,” said Phil Sheridan, vice president of Jazz Alliance, explaining why his company selected Hofmann’s project as one of its 20 releases for 1992. Creating an Understanding-based Curriculum and Assessment System
Once the learning goals have been established, the second stage involves consideration of assessment. The backward design framework suggests that instructors should consider these overarching learning goals and how students will be assessed prior to consideration of how to teach the content. For this reason, backward design is considered a much more intentional approach to course design than traditional methods of design. The first question listed above has instructors consider the knowledge that is worth being familiar with which is the largest circle, meaning it entails the most information.
Furthermore, the answers to question #3 regarding enduring understandings can be adapted to form concrete, specific learning goals for the students; thus, identifying the desired results that instructors want their students to achieve. In Understanding by Design, Wiggins and McTighe argue that backward design is focused primarily on student learning and understanding. When teachers are designing lessons, units, or courses, they often focus on the activities and instruction rather than the outputs of the instruction. Therefore, it can be stated that teachers often focus more on teaching rather than learning. This perspective can lead to the misconception that learning is the activity when, in fact, learning is derived from a careful consideration of the meaning of the activity. Educators from kindergarten through college can get everything they need—guidelines, stages, templates, and tips—to start designing lessons, units, and courses that lead to improved student performance and a more stimulating experience for students and teachers alike.
He has extensive experience as a classroom teacher, resource specialist, program coordinator, and in professional development, as a regular speaker at national, state, and district conferences and workshops. Combining provocative ideas, thoughtful analysis, and tested approaches, this new edition of Understanding by Design offers teacher-designers a clear path to the creation of curriculum that ensures better learning and a more stimulating experience for students and teachers alike. He served as director of the Maryland Assessment Consortium, a collaboration of school districts working to develop and share formative performance assessments and helped lead standards-based reforms at the Maryland State Department of Education.
Authors Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe answer these and many other questions in this second edition of Understanding by Design. With an improved UbD Template at its core, the book explains the rationale of backward design and explores in greater depth the meaning of such key ideas as essential questions and transfer tasks. Readers will learn why the familiar coverage- and activity-based approaches to curriculum design fall short, and how a focus on the six facets of understanding can enrich student learning. With an expanded array of practical strategies, tools, and examples from all subject areas, the book demonstrates how the research-based principles of Understanding by Design apply to district frameworks as well as to individual units of curriculum. In contrast, the backward design approach has instructors consider the learning goals of the course first. These learning goals embody the knowledge and skills instructors want their students to have learned when they leave the course.
Teacher Ron Berger discusses how to discusses a culture of excellence through authentic, project-based learning. Marc Chun described the qualities of authentic performance tasks and how to teach toward them. Neurologist and teacher, Dr. Judy Wills, discusses how UbD reflects insights about learning from neuroscience. Though he always kept his own recording career going, there were periods, sometimes lasting several years, when he was drawn away from solo projects--including about a dozen albums--by his much-in-demand role accompanying singers (including Lena Horne, Helen Humes and Kay Starr). The New York City BOE offers an informative video that describes the use of Norman Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK) framework for teaching and assessing the Common Core Standards.
Linda Darling-Hammond makes the case for expanded use of performance assessments. Yeager has nine bassists, which amounts to about one-fourth of all jazz majors. In any other year, according to Yeager, bassist Royce Ferguson, a junior, would have been at the top of the heap, but this year he’s running neck-in-neck with fellow SDSU student Kevin Delgado, the bassist for San Diego Latin jazz groups Sol E Mar and Afro Rumba. Which means Ferguson is good, and Wednesday night’s junior recital featuring Ferguson should produce some first-rate music. In fact, the modest Wiggins has recorded a library of music that spans some 50 years, including dozens of original songs, making him a living encyclopedia of jazz.
Prior to that, he helped lead Maryland’s standards-based reforms, including the development of performance-based statewide assessments. As the quote below highlights, teaching is not just about engaging students in content. Student learning and understanding can be gauged more accurately through a backward design approach since it leverages what students will need to know and understand during the design process in order to progress. The knowledge and skills at this substage are considered important to know and do. The information that fits within this question could be the facts, concepts, principles, processes, strategies, and methods students should know when they leave the course. The big ideas and important understandings are referred to as enduring understandings because these are the ideas that instructors want students to remember sometime after they’ve completed the course.
Over the course of 2018 and 2019, Gerwig, Robbie, and folks from Robbie’s production company LuckyChap went through an immersion course designed by Mattel. At the heart of the home, the living room comes with a plush rug (specifically, this one from Sahrai) resembling a puddle of melted rainbow ice cream—perfect for lying down on during an existential crisis or taking a nap. That room even has a pop-out, 3-D map of Barbie Land (which is real, not CGI!). It could, in reality, act as a space-saving table for meals or board games. This washable chevron rug from Ruggable’s official Barbie collection is inspired by the iconic Mattel doll’s original black and white dress. Gerwig obsessed over it all, and the props that populate the fantastical space imbue it with a surprisingly lived-in quality, like a Barbie version of the book Moby Dick on a side table. Like Weird Barbie (played by Kate McKinnon) herself, the house has gone through the wringer. It’s a lived-in fantasy world that relies primarily on physical sets rather than CGI. To build out Barbie Land, writer-director Greta Gerwig decided to create a coherent set of rules that would govern how it looked and functioned.
From the 60s inspired Barbie kitchen to the Ken's Den inspired by the 70s Barbie era, this house is a sight to see from top to bottom including the exterior. From what we've seen so far, it's nothing short of any Barbie lover's dream, but we expected nothing less from our favorite HGTV stars. "It was pretty incredible seeing the set for the first time," Robbie said during the tour. Apart from its straightforward elements, the home acts as a safe haven for discontinued toys in the movie.
The image included Gerwig as well as Robbie and America Ferrera from their last day on set, all yelling at the camera. Barbie is a massive star-studded production featuring multiple Barbies, Kens, and humans. After long keeping character details close to the vest, the film shared its full roster on social media. The home appears to be located on the block of Pacific Coast Highway. Estimates from the usual real estate listing sites vary pretty wildly. Zillow gives the home an estimated price tag of $5,347,400, Redfin‘s estimates comes in at $3,491,022, and Realtor.com give the most optimistic estimate at $7,277,000.
It even extends to the "natural" environment in Barbie Land—including the beaches that are made up of pink sand. "It's very interesting because everybody says, Oh my God, it's just like a dream house I used to have," Greenwood says. "And you go, Well, maybe that's what it feels like, which is good, but it's not a dream house. It's the feeling of a dream house."

"Even though it's fake, it's really beautiful, which is kind of like everything in Barbie Land." While only a handful will realize their DreamHouse, uh, dreams, anyone can deck out their digs in Barbiecore. Mattel and the Warner Bros. film continue to roll out collaborations to promote all things Barbie (as they have been for the last year). Below, shop some of the official movie merch and other popular pink picks inspired by the film, and don’t forget to set your alarm for July 17 at 10 a.m. Barbie has been top of mind ever since the film’s first look images of Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken were released more than a year ago. The Greta Gerwig-directed movie sparked the vibrant Barbiecore trend and birthed seemingly endless collabs with brands like Ruggable and Funboy.
It's also a big visual and musical reference to the opening scenes of 2001 A Space Odyssey. “Since the beginning of time, since the first little girl ever existed, there have been...dolls. In an appearance on Dua Lipa's At Your Service podcast post-production, Gerwig said it was actually a nerve-wracking choice to take on the Barbie project. On July 16, 2022, a few members of the Barbie cast shared a celebratory photo to commemorate wrapping on the film. Both actresses Hari Nef and Sharon Rooney posted the picture to Instagram.
And the way he spoke about wanting to change everything all the time was really exciting for me because I recognized it. Maybe it comes from having been raised in something that is so rigid, and then knowing that you’re somehow outside of it. That once you step outside of this very rigid belief system, anything goes, all the rules are suspect. I’d like to think there are a lot of colors in my palette, and I love playing with tone.
In order to do that, she dove into the history of Barbie, the history of movies, and the history of fashion. For a cover story on the new film, Gerwig, producer and star Margot Robbie, and creatives at Mattel spoke to TIME about how they dreamt up all the details in the film. The dream houses were adjusted to 23 percent smaller than human size. "The ceiling is actually quite close to one's head, and it only takes a few paces to cross the room," Gerwig told Architectural Digest. "It has the odd effect of making the actors seem big in the space but small overall." In the video's comments section, fans of Barbie and Gerwig's work were quick to express their excitement at seeing the Dreamhouse up close.
